It's been a long time.

Well the summer is just about in full swing and we are all so very excited. It's been a while since I last updated but I will try to catch you all up. Well we have all been hanging out and having fun. Mason is growing up so fast. Jake and I always talk about how every time he gets up in the morning we feel like he has just grown so much. Mason has recently been on a quest to say to everyone he talks to, "I have a quick question". Then he just stops from there. It's quite funny and he just thinks it's so silly.
(Mason at lunch w/Mommy and Daddy)

We have all started some new adventures in our individual lives. Jake has been going to school and will be graduating soon as an official CDL driver! Mason is through the moon to known that Daddy will be the in a semi and Jake is excited and optimistic about the new chapter in his life. I personally had no idea what it's took just to get a permit let alone a licence. I honestly thought it was like drivers ed and the test was the same, but oh I was soooo wrong. I know that I couldn't even remember all those things that they have to know or memorize, so hats off to you all!
Mason has started some new and amazing therapy treatments, that have helped him out so much! For about a year there has been some concern over some of his development and after many months and hours of research. Along with trial and error we found an AMAZING doctor that has been a miracle to our family. She is so proactive and true concern for her patients. She has been almost like a family member when it comes to anything that would benefit Mason. We have felt so blessed.

I've started my own little at home business. I'm a Scentsy Wickless Candles independent consultant. I really truly love the products! As most of you know I'm really picky when it comes to what products I share with my friends and family, because if it fails them or isn't beneficial I feel bad that their experience wasn't pleasant. And let me tell you all, I was so amazed by how much I really love the products. And they even passed the Jake seal of approval :) This has been so much fun and enjoyable for us all and I'm so excited to travel on this new adventure.

Well I'm sure as you all know we are expected another child in in a few months. We are having a girl and all three of us feel overwhelming blessed. Everything has gone very well so far. I have been able to keep my blood pressure much more regulated and I have been feel very healthy. We just take one day at a time and I will confess I have enjoyed and feel so lucky how much Jake and even Mason, have done all that they can to keep things nice and calm so I don't have anything to stress or worry about. I will admit pregnancy has always been a bit of an awkward thing for me. I realized I officially have to stop wearing Jake's shirts and buying over-sized jeans when I bumped into a couple a neighbors and they had no clue I was even pregnant. So my sister and I are going to have a take a trip to the mall (which I know she loves) and do a little shopping :-) Okay, Okay I love going shopping too.
But as for our family and all of our adventures the one thing that we never forget it that we will always be there for each other and can't do it without one another. That along with many other reasons is why I love our special family.

Wonderful Weather, Wonderful Weekend

This past weekend we all got a chance to just hangout and relax together. Saturday started off with me getting a chance to get some things that I wanted to get done around the house. Which was awesome! They guys were great and helped out too. Mason even tried to assume the role of "vacuum dude", but he's still a little short to control the vacuum so he "supervised" Mom and Dad. I was able to get everything on the list done in record time.
So later that Saturday we all went outside and played with Mason's new water toy. (It's a duck that sprays water everywhere). Mason was having a blast in the front yard! Jake and I were having fun watching Mason run to the water then run away screaming. But as the afternoon rolled on the weather started to cool a bit so we all went inside to dry off and Mason to change his clothes. But since we are in sunny southern California we had to come back out! So we all grabbed some chalk and drew pictures in the drive way. Mason was loving it as most kids do. I think it's because of a feeling of freedom writing on the ground and not having the restriction of staying on a piece of paper. But shortly after we were sitting there Nana and Papa arrived!!
As always Mason flipped his lid. As soon as Nana and/or Papa are around he goes nuts!
So after Mason showed off his artwork in the drive way, we all went inside and hung out for a while. We later went out to dinner where as soon as the server showed up to the table Mason turns to her and said, " I want some chicken and veggie and milk and crackers and bread". We all including the server giggled and I informed Mason that it's just time for the bread and something to drink. We had a wonderful time at dinner. After dinner we all said our good-byes and Nana and Papa headed back to their house and we to our home.
Sunday rolled around and I could already tell as soon as Jake got up that he was going to ask something or something about fishing. So... after having breakfast together and a little relaxation afterwards. Jake and I talked and said yea lets go to the lake today. But since it's a little boring for Mason and I since Jake is the fisherman and we are not (yet) we opted to have a picnic also. Once Mason heard we were going somewhere with a park and a lake and having a picnic it was like if someone had given him the green light to get crazy! He is so silly at times. So I packed up the food, Jake loaded up everything into the car and Mason was again responsible for "supervising".
Once we got to the lake it was a BLAST! The weather was wonderful! There surprisingly wasn't a ton of people there so it was rather calm and peaceful (for the time being). So after eating lunch we cleaned up and Jake grabbed his fishing stuff and Mason and I went over to the park. Mason was having a blast!! It was a new park that had everything for every age child. I will not lie, I was loving it too and a little jealous as kids we didn't have parks that cool. But sadly a play time was cut short because Mason had a boo-boo from a fall on the play ground. The only 5 foot section of concrete in the 100 foot playground, he fell on and scrapped his knees :(
So we went to go get Dad, so he could see Mason's "battle wounds". Once we got there Jake said he was ready to go because there were too many people disturbing the water and scaring the fish.
On the drive home Jake and I were talking and I mentioned that it's such a beautiful day and the temp had heated up lets go the the beach.... And so we did! One thing about Mason that anyone who know's him is that he LOVES the water! Rivers, lakes, seas, and even bath time. If there's water Mason's there. So we got to the beach and it was beautiful! Everything was great! But there was one strange thing. We went to the same beach that I had been going to since I was an infant and in all there years I have been there I have never seen the tide to low. It was kind of strange but yet kinda cool.
After putting our chairs and towels down Mason and Jake were ready to go swimming! Mason got ready to take off running but Jake caught him to slow him down and put his life vest on. We always have him wear it whenever we're out on or by the water. He love the water so much and is still a little young to understand the good and the bad, so we have him wear it. I actually think he really like it because when the water's calm he loves to just kick back and float.
Anyway Mason had a blast. Jake got down in the sand with him and they built a sand castle for me. I thought it was so nice of them. As the weather began to cool and Mason grew tired we gathered our things and headed home.
All and all we had a wonderful weekend. Calm and relaxing but also fun and entertaining. We didn't really want to go out and do anything grand. But I love that the simple things/times is when we have the most fun. For some it's works and for us it does and it's part of our special family.

The Zac Brown Band Concert!

Let's first start off by saying it was a BLAST!!! We arrived about 30 minutes after the first band went on and Zac Brown was right up there with them! It was great to basically have the band up there the entire time! They had awesome opening acts. There was Joey and Rory, Nic Cowan, Sonia Leigh, and Levy Lowery. It was the Southern Ground Tour and every single group was great.
When we got there I thought that the tickets might not be that close or that it would be hard to see, but not at all. We all know that I don't have the greatest vision but the size of the venue and the location of the seats was perfect! The music was Awesome!! Everyone was on there feet pretty much the whole time and the they played America's summer anthem... Chicken Fried! Everyone was dancing and singing and it was the best. If you're into country music or even if your not it's definitely a concert I would recommend going to.
So random events that happened during were Jake went to get something to drink and I guess while he was up there some guy(younger guy) who was drunk spit on the shoes of one of the security guards( he was an older guy, mid 60's). So I guess the security guard wasn't having it so he punched the drunk guy in the back and he hit the floor! Jake said that he was having a hard time getting back up because he was so drunk but he just stumbled away. But the most random kinda thing of the night was the group sitting next to us. It was two guys and two girls(I think a double date) but when we got there I noticed one of the girls seemed a little "off". Well.... 10 minutes later we and everyone around us discovered she was wasted! It was so bad! obviously she had more than she could handle but her girl-friend that was there with here tried to help her to the bathroom and she was so gone that she couldn't stand. The guys and everyone else down the isle had to help her get to the end. She made it and they got her upstairs but were gone for like 30-45 minutes, which I thought I hope she's okay and not horribly sick or something. So they came back and she seemed a bit better. Not! within like 10-20 of being there fell asleep! Now it's hard to sleep listen to Zac Brown CD, let alone a concert! So one of the woman who was near us was talking to one of her friends and told them they should probably take her home or something because she was bad. I felt bad for her friends because they ended up leaving the concert and didn't return. But oh well it's great that she had good friends with her to help out.
At the end of it all it was AWESOME!!! We are so glad that we went and it was so great! We can't wait till they come back to town!

Beautiful Day

So yesterday was doctor's appointment day. To be honest I always get a bit nervous going in but was very hopeful because I have been feeling very 'pregnant' I guess you could say. Morning/ all day sickness, lots a fatigue, strange urges to eat weird combinations of foods and everything else that comes with it. Once I got there and got in the ultrasound room, the lady put the weird jelly on my stomach. I have to admit I have become a fan of the warm liquid instead of the cold. They did what they need and everything looked great. The lady who did the ultrasound said the heart rate was 160 and if I believed in old wives tales that it meant we are having a girl. So I guess we will see, either way we are not really partial to a gender just happy and healthy is all we ask.
Mason has been great! He went for a haircut and was excited until the saw the comb. I figured when it was time to get a haircut I would ask him and see how he reacts so it wouldn't be a completely horrible experience. Wrong! His hair had grown out to be wild bush man. So we had to comb it before the barber started to cut and thats when the tears started so Jake and his superman nature offered to get his hair cut even though he had it cut 3 days earlier and Mason brightened up. In the middle of the cut Mason told the barber "excuse me, no more. I'm okay thank you, all done". We couldn't help but laugh and so did he. At the end of it all he went over to the mirror and pointed to himself and said, "Mason man, beautiful!" I told him yes you are beautiful but you say, "I'm beautiful". He replied, " No, Mason man's beautiful". He is so silly and I love it! Of course afterwards we all went to Jamba Juice and got smoothies to top off the afternoon.
As many paths that we may cross, I love that everyday our special family always has a silly moment.

Finally Making an Update

It has been a while since we have made an update about our lives. There has been many things go on since Christmas. I first have to thank a great friend for giving me the something I needed to finally talk about it.
Well here we go, we have since moved (as previously posted) and are just about settled in. We are all unpacked but now for the rearranging of things and decorating. My favorite! This winter as you are all aware we found out that we are expecting. Unfortunately I was not feeling well to later discover I was going through a miscarriage. It was the last thing on my mind that was going to happen that morning but it happened. After visiting the doctor he could not explain why but said to stay hopeful.
It was something that was difficult for each of us to process in our own way. Mine personally was, as most of you know my personality is it doesn't make sense to me unless there are solid reasons why. Like math, two plus two is four. Solid answer won't ever change.
But we kept rolling on but only taking one day at a time. After all was said and done things started to feel as they were before and had come to live with God said baby's just not ready yet. Until, the doctor called and said some of my lab work looked a little off and he would like to repeat it.
Well as most of you know I am a GIANT chicken when it comes to needles so I defiantly was not looking forward to having my blood draw ever 2-3 days for 2 weeks :( After back and forth trip to the doctor and making the choice to take a personal break from the doctor's office for a week I called to schedule yet another visit.
On the day of my appointment I saw sitting in the room minding my business, I had even brought Mason with me because I didn't think it was any bring whoo-ha. Well come to find out that the strange part of my labs was because.... We're pregnant again! He said it was very uncommon how quickly it happened, but everything looked great! They could already see the heart beat and that it was strong, my lab work looked great and the baby looks awesome.
We are past the month two marker and just keep praying that everything goes well and just trying to keep positive. The toughest part of this pregnancy has been of course the nausea but more than anything just the exhaustion. But honestly I wouldn't trade it for anything! As long as the typical symptoms are there everyday, we are all happy campers!
The part that has been the best and most amazing through it all has been Mason. The beauty and joy that comes from a child is amazing! Mason has not really been aware of everything because as you know he's 2 so he doesn't really understand. There was a time that Momma and Daddy were upset and Mason came over and said,"Oh Momma no tears, it be okay". It was heart breaking. It made me cry even more because he was so kind and made Jake immensely proud to see his son open his heart to someone like that.
We have been so blessed by all of the wonderful family and friends in our life to some family is those who you are related to you. To us all those amazing people who have touched our lives are our special family!

Moving...

So over the recent New Year holiday our family experienced the joy of moving. It was quite and experience. When we moved here from Virgina the size of the homes were greatly different, so that's meant... Way too much stuff! So we utilized our garage as a storage of the excess and other things. So when it came time to moving to our new home we thought, "piece of cake".
So about a week before "moving day" I went out the the garage to see what was going on out there and what needed to still be packed. Little did I realize how many times I had ask Jake to take things to the garage when I could not find room from them in our house. It was the black hole of Seymore stuff! Toys, furniture, bikes, books, military gear, and much more. Needless to say we managed to get it all loaded up and to the new house. We are so excited for our new home and new neighborhood. Everything has been great since we moved in a few days ago. Everyone has come to welcome us. There are tons of kids Mason's age that he can play with and the best part is being able to see the beach everyday. I have to say military living has it's highs and lows but this is definitely one of the highs! We can't wait to turn this house into a home for our special family.
